Sijia Chen is a multimedia artist specializing in painting, sculpture, installation, and public art. Currently based in Los Angeles, she has presented her work in solo exhibitions in China and the United States, and has also participated in exhibitions and biennials in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Her permanent public works can be found in Wichita, KS, Seattle, WA, Portsmouth, NH, North Kansas City, MO, Claremont, CA, and internationally in Guangzhou, Shantou, and Jieyang. Her artwork has been collected by esteemed institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Inside-Out Art Museum, Guangdong Art Museum, and Shantou University. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she actively engages in promoting international cultural and artistic exchanges as a member of the Los Angeles based artist organization Durden and Ray. She has also shared her expertise through teaching and conducting workshops at various academic institutions, including Temple University, California State University, University of Missouri, University of New Hampshire, Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, and Guangzhou University.
